3 Day Kitesurfing Lesson

When you arrive at our BKSA training centre in Rye Harbour you will be signed in for you lessons as well as fitted out with helmets & wetsuits for the lessons. All equipment is included in the kitesurfing lesson price. The instructor will then brief you on the schedule for the 3 days.

You time will be split between learning how to fly small kitesurfing kites, power kites & general kitesurf safety on the beach at Camber sands. During these kitesurfing lessons you will be taught important things like wind window and emergency pack down.

Now into the water for some boddy dragging lessons along the South coast using the kite to pull you along on your front. This is very important for learning how to get you and the kite to work together in the water. Its also great fun

After body dragging its time to learn how to use a kiteboarding harness. The harness allows the body to take all the power of the kite allowing the arms to relax. We also learn how to use quick release systems. Then for some directional bodydragging and board retrevival practice before we get on the board. Once all this is completed its time to learn how to get onto the board, using the kites power to lift you up and then off you go. With the latest bow kites this has got much easier to learn over the last few years. The third day is dedicated to getting you kite surfing to a good level incuding sailing upwind and station to station. On this course you get the extra day over the 2 day course giving you more time to practice your board starts and upwind riding.

BKSA course Certificate
Having completed your kitesurfing lessons we can give you a BKSA certificate showing your level. This should help you if you need to do further courses abroad or rent kite equipment. If you want further tuition do let the instructor know and he will get some intermediate course booked in for you.
