Greatstone Beach Kent

Only 15 Mins by car from our Base at Camber sands Greatstone is great east facing beach on the Kent Sussex border about 5 miles long and is sandy for its entire length. Only about an hour from South London

Wind Directions

Greatstone works for Kitesurfing in the following directions SE, E, NE and Northerly. Anything else apart from NW works at Camber Sands.

Tides

It is not ideal for kitesboarding at very high tide. Make sure you have at least three line lengths between you and the nearest danger before you head out. When the tide is low it can be a 20 min walk to the sea as the beach is so flat.

Water State

The sea is very flat and shallow at Greatstone and great for speed runs. Ideal learning ground when the wind is in the right direction.
